I was a bit nervous about the weight, but the included tripod makes this setup rock-solid for hours of glassing. Being able to spot a coyote at nearly 800 yards in pure darkness with the IR illuminator was a game-changer for my property. The hard case keeps everything organized for transport.

The white phosphor image is noticeably crisper than the green tubes I’ve used before, and even at 8x the catadioptric lens holds focus across the whole field. I set it up on a tripod for a few hours of scanning and the eye relief kept me comfortable the entire time.

Using the included tripod even on slightly uneven ground was rock solid, and the long-range illuminator really lit up a field at 200 yards. I was impressed by how clear the image stayed when I zoomed in on distant tree lines. Definitely worth it for serious nighttime observation.
